This is a retelling of Metamorpho's origin.

Synopsis:

The goal of adventurer Rex Mason was to become rich and worthy of the rich and beautiful Sapphire Stagg. Her father Simon Stagg disapproved of their relationship and sent Rex Mason on a dangerous mission to acquire the fabled Orb of Ra. Stagg's servant, the ape-like Java, overpowered Mason, stole the Orb and left Mason for dead. Strange radiation from a buried meteorite transformed his body into something very different. As the freakish superhero Metamorpho the Element Man, he was now able to transform his body into any element found within the human body.
