OVERVIEW

Adam Case was a rock star who at his peak was recruited by Pain (a renegade servant of Desire of the Endless) and a band of old gods in order to try to bring about the end of the world through his concerts and his music. Case regained his lost soul, however, and Pain's scheme was thwarted. Case let the world believe he was dead and now has a cult status among music fans.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

Ever since he was a small child, Adam Case has had the ability to see and talk to mythical creatues, gods and ghosts.

He has been described a "modern day Orpheus", whose music has the ability to spellbind and influence those who hear it. His breakthru on MTV alerted Pain to his existence and promted him to try and use Case in order to bring about the end of the world through a world tour. It is unclear exactly how Case would have been able to bring about the apocalypse, but Pain may have inteded for Case to instill feelings of destructivity and hopelessness among his listeners.
