OVERVIEW


Her name meaning 'whirlwind', Aella was a courageous and violent Amazon of Themyscira. With her double-axe, she fought with Hippolyta and Antiope the legions of Heracles and Theseus when they had betrayed the Amazons, circa 3000 years ago. In recent years, Aella wanted revenge on Hippolyta whom she felt had forsaken her, and joined Ariadne in starting a civil was on Themyscira.
