HISTORY


Airstryke was a creation of the Maryland-based weapons company named Meta/Tech. A man named William Kavanagh received genetical treatments and was transformed into a human/pterodactyl hybrid, complete with wings, strength and an intelligent reptile brain. When the villainous Count Viper seized control over Meta/Tech, he pitted Airstryke against Hawkman (III). After that, Airstryke was mostly seen in meta-human prisons such as Belle Reve or the Slab. He was one of many super-villains who got a proposition by the demon Neron, and likewise one of many to get 'jokerized' during the Joker’s 'Last Laugh' riots. Recently, however, Brother Blood (VII) invaded the Slab and set all the prisoners free in exchange for them joining his personal army. Airstryke dared question Blood's authority, and was swiftly killed with a bullet in his head.
