The first edition counted 26 issues and 2 updates were published in 1987 and 1988, respectively. In 1990 a new loose-leaf edition of Who's Who was published which counted 16 issues and a 2 issue update in 1993.

The Unofficial Who's Who in the DC Universe is an ongoing project to provide profiles on every single DC character, team, alien race etc. that has appeared in the pages of a DC comic set in the DC Universe. We have tried to combine some of the best features of each incarnation as well as added some of our own.

The Who's Who entries are listed in alphabetical order after character name followed by their real name and in some cases also a comic age/timeline/Earth indication. In the case of regular names characters are listed first name first, surname second.

Each profile includes information such as Personal Data on the characters (Alter Ego, Occupation, Marital Status, Known Relatives, Group Affiliation, Base of Operation, Height, Weight, Eyecolor, and Haircolor), the History of the character, and descriptions of the characters Powers and Weapons as well as first appearance and creator information. Furthermore each profile is linked to a detailed chronology of the character.

Please note: We are still working on transferring the profiles from the original version of the site to the wiki version. The old version of the DCU Guide had 7689 profiles in various stages of detail and at present we have 7,000 available in the Wiki.

Until we have moved all the profiles from the old version of the site there will be two sets of alphabetical lists at the bottom of this page. The first leads to the wiki profiles and the second leads to the original profiles.
