HISTORY
Green Lanterns Kyle Rayner and John Stewart embarked on a deep space mission to investigate a threat to Earth. They soon found themselves embroiled in a war between the New Gods. Reinforcements promised by Hal Jordan never arrived and after almost a year away from their home planet, their return was met with a grim reality.
Jordan had sent them away while the planet was overrun by vampires and now in perpetual winter. Those heroes thought their allies turned on them, forcing the Lanterns to retreat. Worse was yet to come, Kyle Rayner battled a vampiric Wonder Woman, but was no match for her fighting prowess. Kyle's sacrifice was meant to give John a chance to escape, but he to was overcome by the vampires.[1]
