Synopsis: - During the battle of Metropolis, many horrors were committed. Doctor Psycho is standing trial for the murder of the five mercenaries known as the Hangmen, who were killed when he seized control of the minds of many innocent bystanders and had them tear the Hangmen limb from limb. Kate Spencer has been given the task of acting as his defense attorney, in the hope that the psychotic little villain will begin to trust her, and she manages to set about the task of casting doubt on what she knows to be the facts. One of the witnesses is the current Doctor Mid-Nite, and she asks him to help her find out for certain if she really is the granddaughter of the original Atom. She also needs to know if her father's blood cancer is hereditary. Doctor Mid-Nite agrees to take a sample of her blood for DNA analysis.
