Comment(s):
- This story takes place in two sections; the first attack of The Phantom of the Fair on the World's Fair opening on April 30th, 1939 and where the bulk of the story takes place, June 9-10, 1939.
- Due to the effects of the Crisis and Zero Hour on the history of the DC Universe, many parts of the story are questionable as canon.
- Post-Crisis, Wes Dodds had already been active as The Sandman for nearly a year and a half before this story (as shown in Sandman Mystery Theatre), using his own version of a "gas gun".
- Post-Crisis, Lee Travis' personal history has been altered so that he may not have been childhood companion and contemporary college classmates with Wes Dodds.
- The Queen Elizabeth shown in this story is the mother of the present Queen of England.
