HISTORY

College Anatomy instructor Professor Oscar Willard confronted Dean Schorr about missing monies from a scholarship fund and was murdered by the crooked headmaster. Retrieved by an angel from the Delivery Department, Willard took his tale up with the the Grievance Council in the Hereafter and is returned to Earth to inhabit his body, only to learn it had been turned into a skeleton used by the College for instruction. Undeterred, Willard confronted Schorr, frightening him into confessing his crime and halting the execution of a student framed for the murder.

Keeping mostly out of sight, "Spooks" helped those that were in danger of dying, often inhabiting the bodies of other deceased victims. He only had four recorded adventures in 1942. His final fate and whereabouts are unknown.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

Spooks animated his skeleton, but kept out of sight so as not to panic the public. He could inhabit the bodies of the recently deceased. How he was able to wear glasses without either ears or a nose has not been revealed.
