Synopsis:

Linda and Buzz's quest for the fallen angel aspect of Supergirl's personality has brought them to Washington DC. Buzz tells Linda about changelings, demons that take the place of humans for a while and do as they please. She idly wonders whether Luthor is one of these changelings, which might explain how he got elected; Buzz informs her that Luthor is as human as they come, but one of his opponents, Jake "Mule" Mullett, is a changeling.
As Supergirl, Linda sets out to find Mullett, in the hope that he might be able to help her in her quest. At his address, she discovers a secret room kitted out with some sophisticated weaponry, and conveniently finds a newspaper article which indicates that he intends an attack on Luthor at his speech this very night. Reluctantly, given Luthor's history with Supergirl, Linda sets out to save him, discovering a well-hidden Mullett. She is unable to prevent him discharging his weapon though, and a race commences as she aims to intercept the missile. She does so, only to be covered with cream pie, and to discover from Buzz that the real Jake Mullett appears to be back in the politician's body. He wants revenge, but would never kill...
